It's All About Me: A Week In Review - Darrelle Revis, Tiger Woods, the BCS and more!

So as you all know I write articles for this blog whenever I feel something is worth talking about. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with but so far I think I've been doing pretty well. This is the first of hopefully a new weekly segment called: "It's All About Me," (Named after my first rap album, lol) in which I will just speak my mind about all the big issues going on in the world of sports and beyond. Here we go...

-For those of you who haven't been watching my Jets play this season thats fine, but your missing a superstar in the making. It's official, Darrelle Revis IS the best corner in the league right now. I have never seen a CB blanket opponents the way he has this season especially against the best WR's in the league. He is an absolute beast and in my opinion is the most dominant defensive player in the league right now. I think he should be right in the discussion for Defensiveve Player of the Year. Darren Sharper has been good, but not as dominant on a game by game basis. Jared Allen has good numbers but he has 7 sacks in 2 games against the Packers alone. To me this shows inconsistency: Where was he in the other games? Plus he plays with probably the best defensive line in the league so it is easier for him to get sacks. I am not denying he is great, but right now Revis is better. The most annoying part is that Revis is being disrespected - He isn't even number one in voting for AFC corner backs - C'mon son! Check out the wideouts he has faced and how they did against him HERE, scroll down a bit for the raw numbers. The stats don't lie.

- Should we really be surprised about Tiger Woods? He was known to be this great man with great values, but haven't we seen this before? Bill Clinton? Alex Rodriguez? John Edwards? Eliot Spitzer? Roger Clemens? Now obviously all of these men sins were different, but whether it was steroids, or adultery, they all weren't what they seemed to be. Their is something about success and temptations that lead to the fall of powerful men in today's society. Now with reports of numerous women claiming to have had affairs with Woods, it is really damaging to his legacy. This being said, after a while he will be OK, and most people, including me, will forget about it and move on. He's still Tiger Woods and at the end of the day he is worth a billion dollars so he has the last laugh.

- Good for Allen Iverson. He gets to go back home and play for the 76ers. It gives him a nice opportunity to leave the league with class and dignity whenever he chooses. I still think he is a legitimate scorer who can be paired nicely with Andre Iguodala. Who knows, I think the 76ers could make the playoffs. Worst comes to worst they will sell a lot of tickets.

- Whoever becomes the next coach at Notre Dame better win, and win fast. I still consider them a top flight program and I hope they get it together. I think Jim Harbaugh is just the right fit, but whoever it is should have a great chance to succeed, but ND fans...be patient, it may take a while. Lower your expectations just a tiny bit. You should expect a BCS title eventually, but for now just hope for a bowl win.

- I have to predict, the Jets won't make the playoffs. This week against Tampa will not be easy and I hate to say it but my early prediction is a big time Jets loss. 20-17? - The Saints are really good but I think they could lose in a physical playoff battle against the Vikings, but who knows. It is absolutely amazing that their could really be two 16-0 teams this year.

- If I am Cincinnati, Boise State or TCU, I am mad at the BCS. Why don't they deserve to prove that they are number one. For god sakes, get a playoff system.

- Colt McCoy is going to with the Heisman, but boy is Nebraska's Ndamai Suh a beast. I can't wait to see him in the NFL.

- Hey Mets, sign Lackey, spend the money, and pull a Yankee move. You see it works so just fork over the cake and get it done.
